The Hospice of the Valleys Six Mile Race is set in the scenic grounds of Parc Bryn Bach, and takes full advantage of this beautiful setting.

Whether you’re an advanced runner, enjoying park run life, social running or want to set yourself a challenge, then this is the event for you.

For 2019 we are excited to launch our junior run. We welcome children and young people aged between 8 – 16 years to be part of this fantastic event.

TrekFest is back….. Can you Take on the TrekFest 2019 challenge
The aim of this epic trek across the Brecon Beacons in South Wales is simple – complete your chosen distance whilst making the miles count for Hospice of the Valleys.
Suitable for beginner trekkers and expert trail runners alike, taking on TrekFest is by no means a walk in the park – it’s tough and will test you both physically and mentally, pushing your boundaries like never before.
Whether you’re a solo trekker or getting your friends, family or colleagues together you will be supported every step of the way.
With 25km and 50km routes to choose from, whether you walk, jog, or even run you’ll be challenging yourself in one of the UK’s most stunning national parks – the Brecon Beacons, South Wales.

What could be more amusing leading up to the Christmas period than getting out your festive costumes, chasing a giant Christmas Pudding all while having fun and raising vital funds for the Hospice.
Forget training or worrying about how fast you can complete it, this Festive Fun Run is all about dressing up, being with friends and family and supporting a good local cause!
You can run, jog, dance, skip or walk 2 laps of the scenic lake whilst chasing our giant Christmas Pudding.
Everyone who enters will receive a Santa hat to help keep your heads warm and look great for Santa selfies!  Children will also receive some festive treats.
Feel free to wear your own costume; elves, Santa reindeer, turkeys are all welcome – in fact anything Christmassy! The event is family friendly and wheelchair accessible; push prams are welcome so why not make it a whole family effort.
There will be Christmas music to raise the spirits, and well deserved hot and cold refreshments available in the Visitors Centre.  Changing facilities and parking available on site.
For the lucky one to catch the pudding you will not only win yourself a Family Christmas Pudding but guess what…. Yep you take the honorary role of the Christmas Pudding runner for 2019.

What’s Involved?

For the first time ever we’re bringing a large-scale event to Blaenau Gwent and the South Wales Valleys and encourage everyone to unleash their alter-ego at our brand new Hospice of the Valleys KAPOW Superhero Challenge!

A 5k run, walk or crawl over, through or around giant inflatable obstacles and surprises.  Taking in the scenery of Parc Bryn Bach whilst harnessing your superhero powers.  Perfect for friends, families and groups, our little superheroes can get involved too. Fancy dress is highly encouraged to boost your superhero powers and looks great on camera.

 So ditch the suit and uniform and let out your inner superhero…we’re waiting for you!
